This site is very useful, every time i come to Greece for my business trips i always check this site so i do not end up with surprises with strikes etc.
Just published the updates !
Any strikes planned for the week of 14 October ?
Great website! However, as someone on vacation now in Greece and affected by no ferries today I must say this is a difficult situation to deal with. I certainly respect everyones rifht to speak but when your entire economy is dependent on touris you may not want to piss the tourists off. As a world traveller, never have I bookes travel, arrived at my destination and received an alert from the embassy stating the transportation sector is on strike. Oh, and the ferry company did not bother to announce that the ferties would not be running. It is easier to travel elsewhere. Damn shame, wonderful and friendly people and such a
Beautiful country.
Thank you for your kind words !We always try to do our best.
TIP#1: If on Facebook, you can have all updates right on your timeline by liking and following our official Page http://www.facebook.com/livinlovinathens. Stay tuned.
TIP#2: Please allow me to inform you that except for activities, tours and events, we also help our clients with the whole planning (the coordination and with all the necessary bookings) of their trips from scratch, allowing them to enjoy their most relaxed, enjoyable and memorable vacation ever !!! All our tours and events are tailor made, adapted to each group’s interests, likes, needs, budget, time, even professions, as we do not have any ready prefabricated packages.
We always offer our clients the very good and value for money prices we manage to get, due to our long cooperation with all kinds of companies in our field (hotels, car rentals, guided tours, all kinds of transfers and for various other services).
What differentiates us from others is that we will “accompany you” throughout your trip. We will always be available from the arrival to your departure to assist you, solve any problems that might arise, and will always be one step ahead to check out everything is running as planned, will be flexible, and ready to adapt to any unforeseen changes ie weather, strikes, etc, insuring your holiday will be a memorable one.

Dear Ralf, thank you for your message. Up to now, there has been no such announcement (by Air Traffic Controllers union). When ADEDY (Public Sector Workers Union) strike it usually affects you if you have dealings with: tax offices, court houses, post offices, public schools, state hospital doctors, Citizens’ Information Centre (KEP), OAED, etc, or if you are planning to visit a Public-run museum. (not all of them), private museums (NAM, Benaki, etc), unaffected.
Anyway, we will keep you posted as always !
I understand from http://adedy.gr/, that there will be a 24h strike on Nov 14th. Any news on that – specially, if flights will be affected?
Please contact your ferry company, or the travel agent where you issued the ticket. The ticket date can be changed.
You can also ask the port authorities of Mykonos, tel. 2289022218, if they will go on with the strike.
I was scheduled to take a ferry on September 3rd from Mykonos to Paros. Can anyone advice me on what I should do regarding a date change on my ticket? Or is it Lost?
Thank you.
Thank you for contacting us. Yes, the seamen federation announced a strike on September 3rd. We’ve just updated the site
