New Vietnamese Circus
Onassis Cultural Centre |

Hanoi’s New Circus takes us on a poetic journey to distant Vietnam and the Far East. An outstanding group of young artists from the worlds of the circus, music, the theatre and street art, reproduces images and sensations from the everyday life of a tranquil village lost among the paddy fields. A minimal production which uses original bamboo props, Lang toi draws its inspiration from both the rich Vietnamese circus tradition and new techniques to provide young and old alike with a unique on-stage experience which often seems to challenge the laws of gravity.
