FOOD/CLOTHING FOR THOSE IN  NEED. Friends of Canada ‘Welfare Network’ facilitator Polis Pantelidis( ) tells us: “The Welfare Network is supporting the Salvation Army’s ‘Adopt a Family’ project. Attached, you’ll find one of our current case studies – each person we help is confidentially tracked in this transparent matter, to ensure maximum efficiency. You will see the specific food & clothing goods this family needs in the attachmentbut there are various (similar) needs for other individuals, so feel free to bring other goods.

“Everyone needs to be respected and valued for who s/he is. Walking alongside individuals in this time of crisis is something that highlights our common humanity. You might have heard the story of the little boy who, while walking along the seafront, saw that a great number of fish had having been washed up onto the beach for an unknown reason. The boy ran and started throwing the fish back into the water one by one. A man walking by saw what the little boy was doing and said to him, ‘There are so many, you cannot make a difference no matter how hard you try.’  The little boy answered, ‘I know, Sir, but I can make a difference to this one’ and he threw the fish he had in his hand back into the water.

“Friends of Canada, we can make a significant difference to someone’s life today.” .
