CANADA NIGHT/Friends of Canada
Friends of Canada | The Salvation Army In Greece |

As you know, our Friends of Canada ‘Welfare Network’ collaborates with the Salvation Army to assist those in great need at this moment. Several of our members have remarked that it’s cumbersome to bring dry food goods to our meetings, especially when using the metro – so the network facilitators are pleased to announce a convenient alternative: supermarket vouchers! Pls see below for details.
HANDY SUPERMARKET VOUCHERS. From Maria Galinou, co-facilitator, Friends of Canada ‘Welfare Network’:
Firstly, Polis and I want to wish you all the best for the new season. Next, a Big ‘thank you’ to all of you for your support last academic year. Together we managed to help and comfort many children and families – and generally, people in desperate straits – with the dry food goods that you offered. We appreciate your efforts in carrying those heavy bags and bringing them to the events every time.
But, New season, New Ideas! We’d like to make it a little easier for those of you who want to continue to help us. We’ve discovered that Δωροεπιταγές (vouchers) are available at the information desk or tills of every supermarket, for any amount of cash. If this is more convenient for you than bringing food, we will accept them on behalf of the Salvation Army at upcoming Canada Nights, and distribute them to our verified list of families in need; babies, children and the elderly have priority.
Vouchers for Small (e.g. 5 euros) or Big amounts are very welcome!!!! Thank you so much.
