Café Zimmermann at Megaron Mousikis
Megaron Mousikis |

Café Zimmermann takes its name from Gottfried Zimmermann’s famed Leipzig coffee house, which became home to Telemann’s Collegium Musicum in 1723

It was there where Johann Sebastian Bach and his musical friends (the Collegium Musicum ensemble) got together to play and improvise music.

The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy beloved works by the great composer with the unique sounds of period instruments in the specially designed

Banquet Hall while ordering coffee, tea or dessert, just as they used to in Bach’s time.
