The City of Athens invites residents and visitors of Athens to participate in the Athens’ Carnival 2015 festivities which will take place in the city’s traditional carnival destinations as well as in its neighbourhoods until February 23, 2015.
During the month of February Athens will be filled with music, colours and events for all ages. This year’s programme includes music and cultural events, shows by animators, clowns, acrobats, jugglers as well as carnival parades. The festivities’ focal points include Plaka, Zappeion – where a great celebration for children will take place on February, 15 – Monastiraki, Thissio, Kapnikarea, Agios Pavlos (Saint Paul) and the museums and cultural centres of the City of Athens.
The carnival festivities will end on Ash Monday (23/2) with the traditional Koulouma at the Philopappou hill and at the KAPAPS grove.
