The International Contemporary Art Fair of Athens ART-ATHINA was established by the Hellenic Art Galleries Association in 1993. The fair is located at the shorefront of Athens, in the Faliro Pavilion –a former Olympic Games venue– that provides an ideal meeting ground for artists, gallery and museum representatives, collectors and curators. Following the widely acclaimed success of the 15th edition of ART-ATHINA last May, the International Contemporary Art Fair of Athens is back with its 16th edition, which will take place on 13 – 16 MAY 2010.
Since 2009, ART-ATHINA has organised reciprocal patrons’ programmes with ART DUBAI & ART ROTTERDAM.

ART-ATHINA 2010 showcases the work of more than 300 artists represented by 58 galleries from 11 countries (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Turkey, USA). The fair also presents 38 institutions related to contemporary art (museums, foundations, art publishers and media).

The Parallel Programme includes the exhibition Greek Artists’ Books: Contemporary Artworks & Editions curated by Maria A. Angeli and the presentation of Spyropoulos Awards: 2006-2009 curated by Olga Daniylopoulou. A series of parallel events, talks and performances has also been scheduled.
