We promised to give you ideas about trips and excursions around Greece, which, as you may know, is not only islands and seas and sun, and here they are!
Our valuable partner Voula, a travel journalist, has come up with 2 ideas, in accordance with the time of the year.

VERGINA
I always tell my students that no one will be allowed to leave the country without having been to Vergina!
One of the most important archaeological sites in Northern Greece where the tombs of Macedonian kings and Filippos B have been found.
The nearest town where you can stay is Veroia (13klm).Things you can do there:
SKI at 3-5 Pigadia ski resort (details)
An open-air spa.
Visit Byzantine churches, the Jewish quarter in Veroia, AND……….WINERIES!!!!!
The area is heaven for the ones of you who like wine-tasting.

MOUNTAINS OF KORINTHIA
An ideal place for walks in the nature and relaxation.
Closer to Athens than Vergina, with beautiful landscapes.
WHAT TO DO: visit lovely lakes (Doxa in ancient Feneos and Stymfalia).
Visit the ENVIRONMENTAL MUSEUM, some picturesque villages,
monasteries and archaeological sites like ancient Korinth and Nemea.
Again WINE TASTING!
Go horseback riding, mountain biking and do archery in the nature.
That’s what we are suggesting for this time of the year!!!
