What is the Race for the Cure®?

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Series is the world’s largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer ever created.
First organized in 1983, after the promise of Nancy Brinker to her dying sister that she would do everything she could to end breast cancer forever, the Komen Race for the Cure Series has grown from one Race with 800 people in Dallas to a global series of more than 150 Races with over 1 million people participating on four continents.

What is the Greece Race for the Cure®?

The Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois” in collaboration with  the Organization of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® organizes the 7th Greece Race for the Cure® on Sunday, September 27th at Zappeion.

The routes will be two, 5 km and 2 km respectively. Event’ s start time is at 11:30 a.m. for all participants, runners, walkers and runners with timing chip and the start of the 7th Race and Walk will be at 11: 30 a.m.

Event’s start time: 10: 30 a.m.

Start time for 5km Race and 2km Walk: 11: 30 a.m.

You can participate individually to support the struggle against breast cancer. Please complete your personal registration form and help us in the effort we do daily.

ACCESS 

On Sunday, September 27th we await all of you at the Zappeion building of the National Gardens of Athens! Use public transport toparticipate in the Greece Race for the Cure® 2015 and enjoy a Sunday morning in Athens.

Following are public transportation stops/stations close to Zappeion::

  • Trolley:  Syntagma Station, Panathinaiko Stadium (Mets) , Statue of Byron
