This December-the month of Christmas and children-starts with the celebrating atmosphere of the National Opera Kiev Ballet and the charming fairytale “Snow White and  the 7 Dwarfs” by the Grimm Brothers, presented for the first time in Greece in Pallas Theater.
“Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs” is a classic ballet dedicated to children. Three decades ago, Russian choreographer Genrikh Mayorov was inspired from Grimm Bother’s classic fairytale, and created a new choreography based on the original music of the Polish composer Bogdam Pavlosvsky.
Till today, no ballet performance for children has reached the fresh look, the talent and the grace of this one, so fairly enough Mayorov was marked from the critics as the “choreographer of youth”. The dance parts of the ballet are distinguished by imagination and innovation and although the theme of the ballet itself is about a fairytale, the choreography with the impressive solo acts and the dynamic scenes of corps de ballet, evokes admiration of audiences of all ages.
“Children need beautiful plays so they can love ballet!” quotes the talented Mayorov and confirms his quote by suggesting the exquisite play “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs”..a ballet which was sold out in all theaters it was performed.
The National Opera Kiev Ballet has already successfully presented in Athens two classic fairytales-“Cinderella” and “Nutcracker” and makes a dynamic comeback for 8 unique (morning and afternoon) shows, inviting both it’s adult and little friends to offer them one more enchanting performance through the magical art of classic ballet.
