Melissia creative writing group
Aegean Arts Circle |

REMINDER: Melissia Writing Group Meets Every Thursday, join us for any session. Join us tomorrow April 24th 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

New series of creative writing group meetings in Melissia. We will meet for three hours each Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
(except for May 1st–we might have to meet another day for that week only).

The group is a lot of fun and it is open to anyone who wants to try writing. Published writers and aspiring writers who have never written a word have attended past sessions. You are under no obligation to attend all of the three hour sessions planned. You attend only the sessions you are able to attend.

IF you come with an open mind and trust in the process I promise you: you will write—the process includes trying to write from writing prompts I will give you to try while we are in a group setting— sometimes I use photo prompts, lines from poems and other writing exercises that get the creative juices going. Try one session and see what you get out of it.

We will read some award winning short stories–analyze them and also week by week we will focus on the elements of fiction which will allow everyone to learn and become comfortable using these tools to build their own story, essay or other creative non-fiction material you want to work on. I prepare handouts for each session – there is written feedback given.

The schedule does not require that you attend each three hour session. You attend only the sessions you want to be part of.
