A major opera from the standard repertoire, Gounod’s masterpiece is an opera with wonderful arias, superb choral pieces and ballet. According to the Director, Renato Zanella, this is a ‘’particularly complex and surreal story’.
The main character, Faust, is the diabolic man who became a legend by selling his soul for the ability to satisfy his every wish. The work also features Mephistocles, none other than Satan himself in human form, toying with his victims…
