Exhibition dedicated to the American Nobel prize-winning writer Ernest Hemingway on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death..

In cooperation with the Museum of the Hellenic Nobel Collection, the Hellenic American Union is organizing an exhibition dedicated to the American Nobel prize-winning writer Ernest Hemingway entitled Ernest Hemingway: From Life to Fiction. The exhibition is organized on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death

The exhibition introduces the visitor to Ernest Hemingway’s life and work through photos presented for the first time in Greece and rare audio-visual material. The original archive material from the collection of the Museum of the Hellenic Nobel Collection features aspects of the eventful life of the American writer, while at the same time highlights the historical context that influenced Hemingway to create some of his most significant works.

A program of parallel events including film screenings, a panel discussion and an educational program will be organized as part of the exhibition

The documentary on E. Hemingway’s life and literary work has been subtitled with the kind courtesy of Nova, the first digital satellite TV platform in Greece.
The film For Whom the Bell Tolls is screened with the kind courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Hellas, a subsidiary company of SPHE in Greece.
The films The Snows of Kilimanjaro and A Farewell to Arms are screened with the kind courtesy of Enallaktikos Kyklos A.E. and comprise two of the titles in a 10 DVD box set entitled World Literature.

All films are screened with Greek subtitles.
Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
