If you feel like reading something that will entertain you but also familiarise you with aspects of Greece that might be new to you, we have two books to recommend

MY FAMILY AND OTHER ANIMALS  by Gerald Durrell, an autobiography about the writer’s   years  in Corfu  from 1935  to 1939. Hilarious and enchanting!

The other one is  EURIDICE STREET  by Sofka Zinovieff.  It  is a description of  the author’s first year in Greece in 1991 , when she moves to Athens with her Greek  husband and their daughters to settle down.  We have read both books again and again and we loved them. Hope you enjoy them too!
