ZITA dance company’s latest production is a collaboration between choreographer Iris Karayan, visual artist Nikos Papadimitriou and composer Nikos Veliotis. CRACK is a dance performance exploring the relation between INDIVIDUAL and COLLECTIVE. The dynamic interaction of STILLNESS to MOVEMENT, ORDER to DISORDER transforms the space occupied by the six dancers. The work challenges the audience into a sensorial experience. CRACK becomes a spatiotemporal condition of constant change.

The work invites spectators into a sensorial spatiotemporal experience. Forms and shapes emerge and transform while figures and structural elements of the performance function as independent elements that build up into integral ensembles. Intense rhythmic structures determine the movement altering from repetitive accumulations to the total pause of actions.

The continuous process of space transformation is achieved through the performers interaction and mobility, while space and that which occupies it become one. Collective-individual, order-disorder oppositions create a spatiotemporal condition of constant change.
