ONE GUIDED TOUR AND ONE ODYSSEY!

Two events that we are planning at the moment:-) :

*We are going on a guided tour on Thursday 9/2 with our guide Lilly.

The tour will be in French, it’s a walk from the metro station at Syntagma, where Lilly will talk about the excavation there, will go around the Acropolis and in town, and will end at the metro station of Acropolis, after about 2,5 hours.

No tickets to archaeological sites will be needed. In case of bad weather, the planned visits will start from the Byzantine museum and move back in time.

The cost will vary from 8 to 12 euros, according to the number of participants, which cannot be less than 10.

*The other event concerns children.

We are going to the theatre on Sunday 12/2 to see one of the most popular children’s play, called ODYSSEVAH.

It’s a combination of the myth of Odysseas and Sinbad and we cannot describe what a beautiful and entertaining play it is!

We are taking our mythology group there, but also adults.

The play is in Greek.

The ticket costs 14euro/person

Dearest friends,

The ones who were at the Newcomers’ meeting last Wednesday must have seen our new partner, the chef Giorgos Lekkas and the luckiest of you might have tasted his extraordinary traditional cheese pie with ouzo.

From now on you will be able to taste plenty of his creations and learn lots of his secrets, either privately or in groups during his cooking classes, let him and his team deal with your catering, events, and parties, and generally use his extensive knowledge to get into grips with the Greek cuisine and its benefits.

Our most ambitious plan is to combine excursions and outings with cooking and tasting.These will be planned according to the season and the harvest of each time of the year, so as to learn about local products, where to find them and how to use them.

For example, November and December are the months of the oil and olives, so we want to show you how the oil is produced.

January is the orange month. September is the month of grapes and wine, etc.

So, as you can see, we’ll be very busy! Follow us on this marvellous trip and don’t worry about your weight!

The Greek food is not fattening!

Mythology in English

Dearest friends,

Our Mythology group this year will deal with the adventures of Ulysses (Odysseus) and our aim is to take our little friends to the theatre to watch one of the best plays for children that we have ever seen with the same theme, the Odyssey. Last year we took our Mythology Group to a theater play about the part of the Mythology that we had dealt with, and the children loved it because, even though it was in Greek, they could follow and they also loved Savopoulos’ music.

If you are interested, contact us to discuss the details. Our group usually meets on Sundays at 5.00, but we are flexible.

Greek Conversation and Culture group

Dearest friends,

We would like to announce a new, more flexible style that our conversation groups will have. We are aiming at groups with a limited and theme-centered context to meet the participants’ specific needs.

The groups will have a theme, i.e. SHOPPING, MOVING AROUND, GREETINGS AND SOCIAL LIFE etc.The participants will meet 3,4 times or until they’ve covered the specific language and in the end they will take part in a real-life activity,ie a visit to the local market, a shop,etc to practice what they’ve just learnt.

The participants will be able to join any group or groups they want, without, of course, any obligation to join all of them. The maximum number of people can be up to 5 or 6 and we can create groups in the North, South or centre of Athens.

For more advanced people, we are planning literature and culture groups that will study or prepare a theatre play, an art exhibition, an event and then watch it.

We hope that with these groups we will cover your needs and make your stay here easier and more enjoyable.
