A performance created for Stuttgart Ballet, this is one of Renato Zanella’s most representative choreographies in which he employs soaring, hazardous dance moves.

Bolero. Music: Maurice Ravel
The choreography reflects the composer’s original conception, that this be a piece where melody and rhythm compete against each other. In his choreography for this very famous work for a large orchestra, Renato Zanella envisaged women in the role of melody and men in the role of rhythm.

In 1891, the legendary choreographer Marius Petipa commissioned Tchaikovsky to write the music for the Nutcracker Ballet.

In 1892, the first showing of the Nutcracker took place at the Mariinsky Theatre of Russia, home of the Kirov Ballet.

The Nutcracker made its way to Western Europe in the 1930’s and to America by 1940, performed by Ballet Russe. The first American full length Nutcracker was performed by the San Francisco Ballet, choreographed by W. Christensen. The Nutcracker has since become an annual Holiday tradition.

“Cinderella “is the most recent production of the ballet company with its outstanding sets and colorful
costumes following the tradition of classical dance. Forty prominent figure skating dancers present
a spectacle of high artistic value, bringing the harmony, elegance and grace of classical ballet to the
challenge and force of ice dancing. The majority of St. Petersburg Ice Ballet dancers have excelled in the
past, individually or as couples, in Russian, European and world figure skating competitions. Twenty of
the artists in this show have been awarded the title “Master of Sports of Russia” for their performance
in figure skating while other members such as Olga Ivanova, Andrey Stroganov, Ludmila Beloussova,
Oleg Protopopov, Alexei Ulanov, and Ludmila Smirnova are European and Olympic champions.

Winning many prestigious international awards and participating in more than 10,000 performances
worldwide, the famous Ice Ballet of St. Petersburg, which today includes more than 80 dancers in total,
