For the past 20 years he has played in all of Chicago’s heaviest showcase venues and toured much of the world with his super tight ensembles. Deeply rooted in the tradition of the Chicago blues elders with whom he worked and studied, Skoller has developed a unique style that conjures the past while being firmly planted in the present. His blues wardrobe clothes a range of original songs whose subject matter comments on many of the issues and realities of life during this age of technology, information and upheaval. Skoller, known for his fiery and engaging performances, combines passionate harp playing and singing with original song writing and prodigious production skills. He has self produced 4 of his cd’s and the critically acclaimed, award winning Let’s Talk About Love by Lurrie Bell
As with many blues performers of his generation, Skoller has been influenced as much by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix and the Allman Brothers as he has by Little Walter , Muddy Waters, Percy Mayfield and other legends of the blues. Skoller’s take on the blues tradition is about letting his own voice come through – his culture, his experience. Skoller moved to Chicago in January 1987. His already mature harmonica playing led a number of musicians to take him under their wings. He paid his dues backing up a “who’s who” of creative and passionate musicians, including the legendary Jimmy Rogers, Big Time Sarah, and Deitra Farr. Skoller’s emotional, high-energy style caught the ear of veteran bassist/vocalist J.W. Williams who invited Skoller to join his band, the Chi-Town Hustlers. The next year, Skoller became a member of Big Daddy Kinsey and The Kinsey Report, recording and touring with the band throughout the U.S. and Canada…

LURRIE BELL was born on December 13, 1958, in Chicago. His famous father, harpist Carey Bell, had him working out on guitar as a wee lad. By 1977, he was recording with his dad and playing behind a variety of established stars, tabbed by many observers at the time as a sure star on the rise. But personal problems took their toll on his great potential; Beel’s recorded output and live performances were inconsistent in the ’80s and early ’90s. Among the highlights of Bell’s discography are three tracks in tandem with harpist Billy Branch under the Sons of Blues banner (Bell was a founding member of the band) from Alligator’s first batch of 1978 Living Chicago Blues anthologies and a 1984 collaboration, Son of a Gun, with his old man for Rooster Blues. Then there’s his set for Delmark, Mercurial Son, as bizarre a contemporary blues album as you’re likely to encounter.Bell followed Mercurial Son with the more straightforward 700 Blues in spring 1997; The Blues Had a Baby appeared two years later.

The Band has played regularly through its 21 years of life in Athens and other towns of Greece. Their shows gave them the reputation of one of the two most important Blues Bands of Greece and the band became also very famous by backing up the following artists during their apearances in Greece:LOUISIANA RED,LURRIE BELL, BIG TIME SARAH, EDDIE C. CAMPBELL, GUITAR SHORTY, LEFTY DIZZ, BYTHER SMITH, ANGELA BROWN, LOVIE LEE, JEAN CAROLL, MAXINE HOWARD, UP-WILSON, SWEET BETTY, JIMMY MORELLO, JAN HARRINGTON, BLIND MISSISIPI MORRIS, JUKE, MICHAEL DOTSON,and lately NELLIE TIGER TRAVIS. They had also opened the shows of JOHN MAYAL, JOHN HAMOND, NICK GRAVENITES, BIG TOWN PLAYBOYS, and FERNEST ARCENAUX in Greece. By the end of 1992 they had completed a number of original tunes which was finally issued on a vinyl LP on 1993, on Pegasus Records. The album’s title was “FIRST DELIVERY” and received very good reviews. This moment the band has released their second album after 14 years. Christos Zerbinos (accordion) and Miltos Logiades (piano) perform works by Charlie Chaplin, Carlos Gardel, Astor Piazzolla, Luis Bacalov, Dmitri Shostakovitch. The second part of the concert is dedicated to Manos Hadjidakis.

Well-known melodies like “Por una Cabeza”, “Walzer Nr. 2″, “Oblivion”, “Eternally”, “Il Postino”, “Walz of the Lost Dreams”, “Pornography”, “The Ballad of Ouri”, “Kalimniotiko”, “Come to me” have been adapted creatively for accordion and piano by the two musicians.

Φυσικής Ιστορίας παρουσιάζει ένα μοναδικό πρόγραμμα για μικρούς και μεγάλους.

Από τις 18 Δεκεμβρίου έως τις 15 Ιανουαρίου, κάθε επίσκεψη στο
Μουσείο Γουλανδρή Φυσικής Ιστορίας και στο Κέντρο ΓΑΙΑ γίνεται
μία μαγική εμπειρία. Οι «ΓΙΟΡΤΕΣ ΣΤΟ ΜΟΥΣΕΙΟ» είναι ένα
πολύπτυχο, πολιτισμικό, ψυχαγωγικό και εκπαιδευτικό
πρόγραμμα που απευθύνεται σε όλους – τα παιδιά,
τους εφήβους και τους ενήλικες – και  επιφυλάσσει
εκπλήξεις και πρωτόγνωρες εμπειρίες.

Η φιλοσοφία της παραγωγής των εκδηλώσεων
είναι η μοναδικότητα – αποκλειστικότητα, βασισμένη
στο ΦΩΣ, το ΧΡΩΜΑ, την ΕΜΠΕΙΡΙΑ και τις ΝΕΕΣ ΤΕΧΝΟΛΟΓΙΕΣ.
Το κάθε τι έχει σχεδιασθεί στη φιλοσοφία
του Μουσείου : ΦΥΣΗ, ΠΕΡΙΒΑΛΛΟΝ, ΠΟΛΙΤΙΣΜΟΣ

Μουσικές παραστάσεις, πρωτότυπες περιηγήσεις στους χώρους
του Μουσείου, κουκλοθέατρο, αφήγηση παραμυθιών με ηθοποιούς
να ερμηνεύουν τους μύθους του Αισώπου και με τη συμμετοχή
των παιδιών, παιδότοπος με δημιουργική απασχόληση, 
όπου οι γονείς θα μπορούν να αφήσουν τα παιδιά τους για όλες τις
ώρες, εκπαιδευτικά εργαστήρια για μικρά και μεγαλύτερα παιδιά κ.ά.

Ακόμη, για πρώτη φορά παρουσιάζεται «η μαγεία των
τεσσάρων εποχών» μέσα από μουσικά θέματα του Vivaldi
στο Αμφιθέατρο του Κέντρου ΓΑΙΑ. Πρόκειται για μία παράσταση
με εικόνα – ήχο και τελευταίου τύπου οπτικοακουστικές προβολές
που παρουσιάζει την προσωποποίηση των εποχών και των
στοιχείων που τις εναρμονίζουν. Ο ΑΕΡΑΣ, Η ΒΡΟΧΗ,
Ο ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ, H ΦΥΣΗ αποκτούν υπόσταση και χαρακτήρα.
Ένας φαντασμαγορικός χώρος δημιουργείται με φωτισμούς 
και ήχους που παραπέμπουν σε ένα παραμυθένιο περιβάλλον
και η παράσταση μετατρέπεται σε βιωματική εμπειρία.

Ο γνωστός Σεφ Χρύσανθος Καραμολέγκος επιμελείται υγιεινά
και πεντανόστιμα φαγητά. Γιορτές σημαίνει δώρα. Δώρα 
ξεχωριστά για κάθε ηλικία θα μπορούν να επιλέξουν 
οι επισκέπτες στο κατάστημα του Μουσείου σε προσιτές τιμές.
