The Myrtillo cafeteria (in the square opposite Iraklio railway station by the entrance towards Piraeus) in conjunction with the Municipality of Iraklio Attika will present

A Children’s Book Festival

25 – 30 October 2014

in the arts area within the shop and in the square on the shop frontage.
The book exhibition will be open from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm every day.
Writers will present and dramatize their books, and discuss with the children and illustrators will help them draw.

The programme will be as follows:

Sunday 26th October
11.00 – 12.00
Lotti Petrovich-Androutsopoulou will discuss her book “The Family of the Sun” in the square.
12.30 – 1. 30 pm
Pipitsa Kliropoulou will present an interactive dramatization of her music book “Leda the Locust and the animal orchestra” with nursery school children in the Myrtillo arts area.

Thursday 29th October
9.30 – 10.30 am
Evi Yerokosta will discuss her book “How dreams were born” with children from the 3rd Primary School Neo Iraklio in the Myrtillo arts area.
11.00 – 12.00
Filomila Bakali-Syrogianopoulou will discuss and illustrate her book “The Birds and Venus” with children from 7th Primary School Neo Iraklio in the Myrtillo arts area.
12.15 – 1.15 pm
Iro Papamoschou will discuss her book “A baby without a name” with children from 1st Primary School Neo Iraklio in the Myrtillo arts area.

Friday 30th October
10.00 – 11.00 am
Litsa Psarafti will discuss her book “Never, ever again” with children from 2nd Primary School Neo Iraklio in the Myrtillo arts area.

12.00 – 1.00 pm
Eleni Gika will discuss her book “The painting on a journey” with children from 12th Primary School Neo Iraklio in the Myrtillo arts area.

Entrance to the book presentations is free for everyone!

A part of the profits from the sale of books will be donated to support the work of the Myrtillo project.

(Myrtillo employs and trains young persons aged 18-35 from vulnerable social groups under employment conditions of the normal labor market)
